Seasonal Influenza Vaccine 2016-2017 Healthcare Providers

Beginning September 21, 2016 seasonal flu vaccine will be available in our clinics for 2015-2016.  It is recommended that all persons ages 6 months and older receive a yearly flu vaccination.  Please call our Flu Vaccine Hotline: 586-466-7923 for more information .  Flu shots will be given from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; each clinic has one late evening per week.  Please visit the Flu Clinic Schedule web page for more information.  Visit this page often - it will be updated regularly with new information.

Note:  For the 2016-2017 flu season, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends use of the flu shot (inactivated influenza vaccine or IIV) and the recombinant influenza vaccine (RIV).  The nasal spray flu vaccine (live attenuated influenza vaccine or LAIV) should not be used during 2016-2017.  Nasal spray flu vaccine is not available at any of the Macomb County Health Department flu clinics or community events.
