Preparing for emergencies shouldn't be something you think about just for your home. If you own/operate a business, emergencies can have a devastating impact especially if you're not ready for them. The resources below can help you develop a plan to continue operating in an emergency.
Macomb County Closed POD Program for Businesses
In a public health emergency such as a bioterrorism event, the Macomb County Health Department would be tasked with providing life saving antibiotics to the entire County population. We would like to work with you to build a plan that would help us quickly get prophylactic medication to your staff, their family members, and optionally, customers/clients. This plan would eliminate the need for you and your staff to go to a public Point of Dispensing (Open POD) site to receive this medication. Instead, your facility will be a private Point of Dispensing (Closed POD) site.
We have worked with a number of private businesses and health care agencies to help them build their Closed POD Plans. To get started on the planning, we just need the registration sheet below filled out. This will help us gather the necessary planning elements that will go in the plan. Once the information sheet has been returned, someone will contact you to setup a private appointment. And just to be clear, we offer this at no cost or obligation. We write the entire plan for you and handle all technical assistance.
