Nurse-Family Partnership
Becoming a mom for the first time can be a bit overwhelming-there’s so much to learn! Imagine what a help it would be to have your own free personal nurse.
Macomb County’s Nurse-Family Partnership program can make that happen. First-time moms who are less than 28 weeks pregnant, meet income requirements, and live in Macomb County are eligible for free help from a personal nurse who will come to your home to offer advice, support and a good laugh when you need it the most. Your nurse will visit you through your pregnancy and until your baby is 2 years old. Your nurse can help you:
- have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
- become a better parent
- build a strong network of support
- make the home child-friendly and safe
- obtain referrals for healthcare, childcare, job training and other support services available in the community
- seek educational opportunities and develop job skills
