Simple Adventures - Harrison Twp, MI

Simple Adventures began in 2008 with two kayaks, a pickup truck and a vision to celebrate an environment in which everybody gets to play.  For the first three years of operations, they were a delivery-only service along the shoreline of Lake St. Clair and the Clinton River.  They then partnered with the city of New Baltimore to rent kayaks on the beach which established their first walk-up site. 

Through patience and perseverance, Simple Adventures has grown their operations and found new opportunities to expand.  They began by renting kayaks in the Lake St. Clair Metropark and now operate the beach shop and food and grill.  Their growth in Macomb County has allowed them to expand outside of the county and now operate in three other state parks - Fort Custer, Interlochen and Camp Dearborn and assisted in the development of an ADA accessible launch along the Clinton River and Salt River.  Additionally, the services they provide have expanded beyond kayak rental.  They rent canoes, SUPs and boats, provide guided tours and excursion trip, rent and sell cruiser & mountain bikes, offer food service & concessions and cater to all group sizes including corporate events and team building.  In addition to their physical locations, they have operations in St. Clair Shores, Mount Clemens, Chesterfield Township, Harsens Island and the Webber Paddle Park.  Simple Adventure now employs approximately 60 seasonally over all of its locations and operations.
